Then Comes Marriage: Katy and Ben’s Wedding Video Highlight

24 Aug

Just one week ago, Katy and Ben tied the knot at the Sheraton Marina with an intimate celebration for 65 guests.  He’s a Marine, she is a lawyer and together I worked with the couple to plan a candlelit indoor ceremony followed by a lounge style reception.  Instead of a traditional sit down dinner, we brought in lounge furniture, wash lighting and food stations, including a mashed potato bar (yum!), fajita station and more.  From custom lighting to orchids adorning the side of guest champagne glasses, this affair is one we won’t forget!

A HUGE congratulations to Mr and Mrs Conner!!!  Thank you for allowing us to plan your big day!!!

We can’t believe that Rafael Pires turned around a beautiful highlights video in such a short time.  Thanks so much Rafael!

Alicia and Lee’s Hotel del Coronado Wedding

16 Mar

As a wedding planner in San Diego, there are certain venues that are so iconic, it is a true pleasure to do a wedding at the specific location.  Hotel del Coronado is perhaps the pinnacle of these venues.  There is so much history within the hotel and the beach offers unparalleled views of the Pacific.  We were thrilled when Alicia and Lee chose us to help them plan their November Hotel del wedding.  A special thank you to Kristina Chartier Photography for sharing the images from this very special day.

Some of the vendors who made this wedding amazing: Rev. Deborah Young, Haydee’s Creative Flowers, Concepts Event Design, First Comes Love Weddings & Events and Kristina Chartier Photography

Real Wedding: Christina and Eddie

2 Mar

We had so much fun working with Christina and Eddie for their vintage winery wedding. The couple prepped for their wedding at The Dana and held the ceremony and reception at Orfila Winery.  There were so many special elements including pinwheel placecards, mason jar favors and cotton candy!

Real Wedding: Laura and Lou

16 Feb

Laura and Lou are a very cool couple. Looking for a vibrant wedding with tulips, we created a hot pink, orange and yellow color scheme for their La Jolla affair.  Thank you to Rebecca Seal for these great shots!

Real Wedding: Jessica and Shyd

2 Feb

Such a cool couple!  Jessica and Shyd met dancing so they featured some traditional Tinkling dancing along with modern salsa into their reception.  Plus, they got married at one of my favorite churches, Immaculata at USD and the service at Sheraton Marina was truly impeccable.  Overall, it was such a stunning and amazing wedding to be a part of.  Many, many thanks to Bauman Photography for these pics.

Vendors: Ceremony Venue – Immaculata, Reception Venue – Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, Wedding Coordination – First Comes Love Weddings & Events, Photographers – Bauman Photography, Videographer – Rustic Red, Cake – San Diego Desserts, Flowers – California Flowers, Photo Booth – Party Booths

Mission Bay has many great venues to tie the knot.  Jenn and Nate picked the Bahia garden for their ceremony with a waterfront reception.  They kept with a tropical, beachy theme for their 100 person bay wedding.  Thanks to Sage Taylor Photography for these shots!
