It’s Lauren and Steve’s Wedding Day!!!

Lauren and Steve eloped last year.  Just like so many of our grooms, he is in the military and was deployed to serve our country.  (Thank you Steve!!!)  The couple always wanted a larger celebration of their love with family and friends so today, they will come together and share their love in Point Loma with First Comes Love’s Jenn helping to bring everything together. We are so honored to be a part of this very special day, especially for a couple who has sacrificed so much to make our lives safe.

It’s Ashley and Matt’s Wedding Day!!!

Ashley and Matt are getting married today at the Hilton Mission Bay!  With the water as their backdrop, they will say “I Do!” in front of 100 of their closest family and friends.  We have LOVED working with this super sweet couple to create their dream wedding, which includes a toes in the sand ceremony followed by a moonlit reception under the stars.  The bold color scheme of oranges and purples will pop in the outdoor setting.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you two!!!  Many, many congratulations Ashley and Matt!!!  We know you will enjoy married life, we see how much you love each other and its couples like you that make us love what we do!

Happy Anniversary Laura and Lou!

We can’t believe it’s already been one year since Laura and Lou tied the knot!!! This couple was so fun to work with and we had a blast putting together their bright hued (pink, orange and yellow) wedding. We caught up with the happy couple and the past year has been fabulous for the two – bringing a new home and lots of fun!  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LAURA AND LOU!!!

It’s LeeAnn and Raymund’s Wedding Day!!!

LeeAnn and Raymund hold a very special place in our hearts!  We started working with this couple several months ago to plan their 300 guest wedding and fell in love with them and their beautiful daughter! Not only is this couple the sweetest ever, they love each other so much!  Having been together for 10 years, this day is one they have been dreaming of for years.  Today, we will get 55 people down the aisle (13 bridesmaids, 13 groomsmen, 8 flower girls, the bride, groom, officiant and 18 sponsors and parents) and help them throw one heck of a party!

Many, many congratulations LeeAnn and Raymund!!!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness!!!

It’s Lindsay and James’ Wedding Day!!!

Lindsay and James are such a cute, fun-loving couple and we are so excited to have the opportunity to work with them to make their dream wedding a reality. Their venue is one that is close to our hearts – Prado Balboa Park and they have some amazing vendors, who we know will create a very special day for the couple.

Our happy couple met through friends at USD six years ago and when James was ready to propose, he knew he had to do something special.  So instead of simply asking for her hand in marriage, James sent Lindsay on a scavenger hunt across San Diego to give her clues that led to the big question.  So from Lindsay’s favorite frozen yogurt shop t0 USD, James eventually led Lindsay to Fiesta Island where as the fireworks created a stunning backdrop, he got on one knee, opened a little box and professed his love.  She said yes and today they will get married amongst a beautiful garden backdrop.

It’s Lindsay and Chris’ Wedding Day!

Today, Jenn is up at Villa de Flores in Rancho Santa Fe, celebrating our latest couple, Lindsay and Chris.  The couple, who we have been helping plan from New York, is excited to tie the knot with family and friends on such a perfect day to get married – 9.10.11!

They got engaged on a fun road trip on the East Coast.  Last June, Chris suggested a spontaneous getaway to Maine. He was unusually eager to take charge of planning the entire trip immediately, and Lindsay was more than happy to go along with it. With lots of daytrips on the schedule, the first stop was Kennebunkport. After walking through the seaside town, Chris suggested a drive along the water to see the rocky coastline and the old estates. They pulled over and walked out on the rocks, where they found a rustic bench overlooking the water. Chris got down on one knee, asked Lindsay to marry him, and she said YES!

It’s Heather and Ken’s Wedding Day!!!

This morning, we have the honor of welcoming Heather and Ken into marital bliss.  This super cool couple is right up our alley.  The bride, who has been planning a beach inspired affair, has been an absolute joy to work with and last night when we met the groom for the first time at the rehearsal, it became apparent why they are so perfect together.  They are such a fun couple and we can’t wait to celebrate their lunch time reception at Bali Hai today with some pretty amazing vendors!

It’s Michelle and Rafi’s Wedding Day!!!

It’s the weekend of Michelles!  Two of our brides from this weekend share the name and both are celebrating their weddings on Mission Bay, but their weddings are quite different.

Today’s celebration is a traditional Jewish ceremony on the sand.  Complete with a hora, ketubah and breaking of the glass, Amy and Lindsay can’t wait to help this very special couple tie the knot. It’s Michelle and Mike’s Wedding Day!!!

Michelle and Mike met while dancing nearly four years ago and when the couple went to Chicago for a romantic getaway, little did Michelle know that Mike was going to pop the question.  But he did, right near the water in Grant Park, and of course she said yes! Today the couple will exchange their vows near the water here in San Diego with a celebration at The Dana Mission Bay (which we LOVE!)  An early congratulations to our soon-to-be newlyweds!  We can’t wait to help make your big day fabulous!

Then Comes Marriage: Katy and Ben’s Wedding Video Highlight

Just one week ago, Katy and Ben tied the knot at the Sheraton Marina with an intimate celebration for 65 guests.  He’s a Marine, she is a lawyer and together I worked with the couple to plan a candlelit indoor ceremony followed by a lounge style reception.  Instead of a traditional sit down dinner, we brought in lounge furniture, wash lighting and food stations, including a mashed potato bar (yum!), fajita station and more.  From custom lighting to orchids adorning the side of guest champagne glasses, this affair is one we won’t forget!

A HUGE congratulations to Mr and Mrs Conner!!!  Thank you for allowing us to plan your big day!!!
