Then Comes Marriage: Katy and Ben’s Wedding Video Highlight

24 Aug

Just one week ago, Katy and Ben tied the knot at the Sheraton Marina with an intimate celebration for 65 guests.  He’s a Marine, she is a lawyer and together I worked with the couple to plan a candlelit indoor ceremony followed by a lounge style reception.  Instead of a traditional sit down dinner, we brought in lounge furniture, wash lighting and food stations, including a mashed potato bar (yum!), fajita station and more.  From custom lighting to orchids adorning the side of guest champagne glasses, this affair is one we won’t forget!

A HUGE congratulations to Mr and Mrs Conner!!!  Thank you for allowing us to plan your big day!!!

We can’t believe that Rafael Pires turned around a beautiful highlights video in such a short time.  Thanks so much Rafael!

It’s Katy and Ben’s Wedding Day!!!

13 Aug

Sometimes, when you know, you know.  Our wedding for this evening is a super sweet couple Katy and Ben.  They came to us a few months ago, newly engaged and beaming about each other and how ready they were to be married.  Having been together for just under a year, the couple met in Washington DC.  He’s a Marine, she’s a lawyer and when duty called Ben to San Diego, he couldn’t bear the thought of moving without Katy.  But he didn’t want to move her out to the West Coast as his girlfriend, he wanted her to be be his side no matter where his service called him.  So he got down on one knee and asked Katy to marry him.

With just a few months to plan their big day, we created a wedding that breaks the traditional mold.  And what will happen tonight is exactly the vision the two had in mind.  An indoor ceremony, surrounding the couple in white and candlelight, followed by a lounge style reception washed in peacock colors.  Instead of a formal sit down dinner, the couple has brought in lounge furniture, sheer white draping and food stations (we can’t wait for the mac n’ cheese bar).

An early congratulations to the stunning couple.  We wish you many years of happy wedded bliss!!!

CONGRATULATIONS KATY AND BEN!!!!  A special thank you to Darryn St. John Photography for sharing their engagement photos!
