An open letter to sunscreen, poolside bellinis, and grilled peaches…
…globe lights, tea lights, paper lanterns, and twinkling stars.
Of the many wonderful things that remind us of summer’s warm glow–shades of orange are among some of our very favorites. With soft, muted tones punctuated by bright pops of this delectable color, you simply cannot go wrong. Gracing nearly all the magazine covers at one point or another this spring and summer, orange is cheerful and sophisticated. It represents laughter and celebration, and can be laid back or incredibly glamorous. And as the complimentary color to blue and an edgy hit to green, it’s the perfect color to accentuate any outdoor event–from picnics and pool parties to evening soirees and weddings. Think it might be a bit too much for you? Try using the color in small doses. A deliciously tangerine-tinted signature cocktail or some burnt-orange paper lanterns will do the trick!
